FAQ
Question 1
How do I tell if my treadmill needs lube?
Well, that depends on what belt system you have. By far the most popular
is silicon lube. With this style unit you should have a slightly wet surface
between the bottom of the belt and the walking platform.
Question 2
Can I use an extension cord on my treadmill?
In general, you should not. Most treadmills have a high electrical current
draw. If an extension cord must be used, it should be no longer than 8 feet
and have the proper appliance rating.
Question 3
What does lubing do?
Proper lubing reduces friction on the belt, motor, and all electrical parts.
Question 4
Where do I lube my treadmill?
In general, it’s best to lube in front to center of the walking belt. Then walk
on your treadmill to spread the lube around.
